What is Onomappu Factory?

"It's difficult to speak Japanese even though I study every day..."

"I keep losing motivation and getting bored reading text books..."

"I want to make Japanese friends, but I don't know where to start..."

Onomappu Factory will create a world in which those problems no longer exist!

In a world that's becoming increasingly online, with less human connection, it's becoming more and more difficult to learn Japanese or make Japanese friends. Just like going to a gym, we believe having a buddy you care about and can speak Japanese with is the key.

Our goal is to create games and events that promote learners to speak Japanese. The fun experiences we create will become associated with the Japanese language in learner's brains, leading to increased retention and a more natural speaking ability.

You can watch "behind the scenes" clips on Hitoki's channel Onomappu

Current events can be found on our Events Page

Lastly, we also have a podcast! Check it out at Onomappu Factory

What does Onomappu Factory do?

Japanese Language Podcasts (Onomappu Factory)

In addition to YouTube videos, Onomappu Factory also posts podcasts to help learners with listening practice. Hitoki, who is also a practicing doctor in Japan, talks about various topics like his experience studying abroad and life as a doctor. All proceeds from the podcast are used to help Onomappu Factory donate free games to Japanese schools around the world.

Live Events

To further boost our mission to help boost the "human connection", we also host both live online and offline/in-person events regularly. If you're interested in connecting with other Japanese learners or meeting Hitoki, please join us!

Our events calendar can be found on our Events Page

Challenges!

With the first game, "Go! Go! Gesture", we're pursuing our dream of helping Japanese people and foreign Japanese learners realize a deeper bond. Specifically, we're working hard to spread our games not only to Onomappu fans but to Japanese language schools and Japanese companies around the world as well! If you're interested being part of our mission to support Japanese learners everywhere, visit our Supporters Page!
